Feeding America sent out the following action alert this morning urging supporters of the SNAP program to contact their Senators. Below are details on the Farm Bill's progress and steps you can take to ensure it protects our hungry neighbors. Support Feeding Illinois through the Walmart Associate Choice Program
We are thrilled to announce that Feeding Illinois is a candidate to receive $50,000 through the Walmart Associate Choice Program. Walmart and Sam's Club associates can vote for Feeding Illinois starting June 30, 2012 through August 6, 2012 on www.mywalmart.com and they will determine the recipient of the award. The Walmart Associate Choice award will help support Feeding Illinois' mission to provide a healthy and adequate food supply to those in need. Feeding Illinois to be featured on WILL-TV and Radio programs to raise awareness of hunger

Feeding Illinois is working to end hunger in our community. This work requires all of us to let decision-makers know that we want them to stand up for those who need food. Join people across the country in speaking up for vital anti-hunger programs for low-income individuals and families. This is a significant moment in the debate on federal deficit reduction.
